Lavender Town Syndrome?

Don't know what Lavender Town Syndrome is?? Well, in this little blog, i will explain what it is~ Now if you already know what it is, maybe you should still read..you might find out more than you actually know~

 Lavender Town Syndrome (LTS) is in fact real. Though people say other things like, "No its not, It was made up to get people scared". Or "Ive listened to it, and it didn't do anything! Its clearly fake". If you are one of those people that have said that before. Maybe you should read this and reconsider yourself. As awful as it sounds, yes, LTS is real. For awhile it was. Now that whole thing about 1,000 kids committing suicide. No. That is not true. Now some did have headaches back then but not 1,000 kids killed themselves.

We all know that horrifying pitch of  Lavender Town. The repeating tone of it. Irritating and annoying, isn't it? But what if i told you, the song you are listening to, isn't the actually original track of the song? Think im lying? When the first Lavender Town came out, it gave kids, age 7-12 a horrible headache, but nothing worse. Nobody knew why it was giving these certain aged kids such a migraine. In the 2nd Edition Japanese release and the American Release, they changed the pitch to the song.

Now with them doing that, by changing the pitch to the song, they made it actually worse. LTS is a psychological effect caused by layered tones of the first version of Red and Green that was released. The multi-tone sounds from the theme, is actually a two layered sequence tracks. One for the left, and one for the right.

For some reason kids from the age group 7-12 can hear them, and are affected by the syndrome. It caused migraines like headaches in children. And with them being so young, it was hard for them to handle. Making them stumble, blurry vision, falling and hitting their head, ect. But they're children. of course they are gonna keep playing the game. Ever remember you being tired as a child but refusing to go to bed because you so into something you couldn't put down? That's basically what happened.



Because of that, there was a total of 4 deaths caused by the syndrome, in children who were wearing headphones and playing the game for a long period of time. Not 30 minutes, i mean hours. The 4 deaths happened with 1 brain swelling, 1 heart attack, and the other 2 were suicides.

Since the deaths happened, Nintendo Corp. and Game Freak got the news only a few hours. So they immediately got the track, dithered it, and made it singled-toned. Since then no accidents have happened from then on. So for all the people who say they have the original soundtrack to Lavender Town, you may want to remember this. Sure the song will give you a slight headache, but nothing more.
